Hold Your Own FatBracket Basketball Calcutta Auction

This is a live auction! All 68 teams go to the highest bidders. There are limits to make it a challenging and dagger throwing event. FatBracket is all about friends and fun. NCAA Calcutta auctions are the best 3 hours of the year. Here is what you need to make your FatBracket a success.

1. A group of friends (or sort of friends) 12-24 bidders is ideal

2. A venue. A buddy's restaurant works. Basements are very popular and oode genuinitiy. We have never heard of a FatBracket party in a funeral home and that'd be cool.

3. An auctioneer. This guy runs the league and this job suuuuucks. Trust me, I have been doing it for years. You basically have 20 guys checking off from work and home to dive into the NCAA tourney. They won't read the rules, or if they do, understand them. You repeat yourself all night They have a great time and you survive until the after party. So the auctioneer needs to like self-punsihment.

4. A couple-three hours. This event takes time. Take a couple breaks during the first batch of teams auctioned off, then a final break before the #1 and #2 seeds come out.

5. FatBracket App Let the FatBracket app collect the bid points and reward the dividends points. All you need to do is watch the numbers. EZ!

6. Create Your League All done within the app.

7. Invite Friends Do this within the app or by sharing a link via text or email.

8. Start the Auction Try to do this Selection Sunday or Monday as games start Tuesday. There are work-arounds if your auction is held on Tuesday or Wednesday before the field of 64 begin play.

9. Conclude the Auction Save the last team auctioned off and have a cold one! You can edit the auction if needed.

10. Watch the Tourney and Celebrate the Champion (Shame the Loser) The best way to expereince the tourney... ever.
